  • Condition: Hairline cracks around the mouth of glass-eyed one, and a Leg was cracked and repaired by a ceramicist on Mama.

    Description

    Vintage Pair of Hakata Dolls Approximately 10” tall.
    The Mama Doll with Baby is signed. It had a cracked Leg where it joins the main body. It was rejoined by a Ceramicist. The Crack is visible, the joint is Solid, but I wouldn't think of leading anyone on that this vintage doll was untouched by time. It stands sturdy, on its own. It came in a yellow cardboard box. Check out pics.
    The Second Doll is Jointed and has Glass Eyes, cloth garb and a wig. It came in a signed wooden box. It has subtle hairline cracks around the mouth and 1 on each ear. Both cracks are in the same place, giving me the impression, the crack is in the mold.
    These were made by the House of Global Art a division of Goebel.
