VINTAGE MARX 1920’s SOMSTEPA COON JIGGER WIND-UP DANCER AMERICANA ORIGINAL 8"

Please see ALL of the photos, this is the exact wind up toy you will receive.  Our photos are a direct representation of the condition of the figure and base.
In our opinion, the toy is original and in GOOD CONDITION.   There is a small dent on one side of the base (see pic #11 above) and some surface marks (scratches underneath and on top of the base, paint loss) as to be expected with such an old toy, but the toy is solid.  The base of the toy measures 4" x 2 7/8" x 1 7/8" high and the figure is approximately 6" tall.  As you can see in the photos, the thin rod that supports the figure is slightly bent (I assume it will bend back but we did not want to try and fix anything for fear of damaging the toy)
The wind-up function/mechanism does not function properly.  The key does turn (with some resistance) and winds up the motor, however it seems to get stuck when it starts to unwind.  The figures does move up and down and the rod moves, albeit sporadically.  We are not experts on the toy and have not attempted to fix the issue.
This is an extremely rare toy that will make an excellent addition to your collection.
